Happy New Year everyone. Managed to attend four matches in the space of seven days over the festive period and was wondering if anyone's ever seen more than that.

Top effort, that's four more than me, Boxing Day family commitments, today working. Didn't fancy taking the boys to Norwich £57 plus travel, food & drink isn't leaving much change out of £100. And New Year's day, haven't been to the town of Burnley since I fell off the back of a lorry in 1989, and smashed my face in, lost two teeth and broke a bone in my arm. Unfortunately I was driving a Seddon Atkinson, with a dual splitter gearbox, which made it very painful on the way home.

Only two homes for me. Like Sharrowblade the cost of getting in and to away games is putting me off at the moment. Can only see more people staying away in the new year once the cost cutting measures in this country kick in.

Just wanted to point out that these games weren't all for the same side - Charlton home, Charlton (not a Charlton fan by the way) away to Brighton and a couple of amateur games.
And yes, football is getting very expensive. I gave up my season ticket at Arsenal a couple of years ago (over £1000). Am thinking about a season ticket at my local amateur ground or Charlton even as I now follow them also since moving to south London a number of years ago.

Only one match Bolton v WBA on Boxing Day.
When the fixtures came out it was always going to be a stay at home Christmas. The two away games were Chelsea and Liverpool. Both clubs that charge over £40 to sit in their away ends and both matches that we would lose 9 times out of 10.Actually it's 9 seasons in a row we've lost at Anfield so make that 9 times out of 9.

Just 2 away games at Sunderland and Man City.

Tonight's game versus Birmingham will be our first home game since Wolves on 20th November.

Games are going to come thick and fast now following 3 home postponements.

Out of our remaining fixtures we have 13 home matches and just 7 away.

Nil for me, the arctic conditions didn't allow any non league football in Scotland. Wouldn't watch the professional game up here as I don't have a masochistic streak.
Was hoping to go to Threave Rovers v Stenhousemuir tonight in the Scottish Cup replay, but that's been postponed until the morra, so might get my first game in since, believe it or not, November the 20th due to postponements!

One game for me:

Step 5 of non-league.

Hythe Town v Lordsword.

£6 admission including a programme!!

7 goals, 4-0 down to 4-3 defeat, couldn't see the other end of the pitch due to thick fog!

Proper Football at a fraction of the cost!!

Eight games in nine days?!! Really? I was pretty chuffed with my four in seven but eight in nine tops that. Very impressed indeed. Well done.
With regards to the last post, I paid £9 to see Hendon play Harrow Borough and sitting was free. Only just over 200 turned up for that one.

Went to the 3 Palace games - would have been 4 but boxing day was frozen off.

Will have to seriously get selective over away games from now on - the price of petrol is criminal!
