Hi need help, was emptying my Mums loft and came across My,My Fathers and Grand fathers old collection. All from about 62 - 86 Mainly Rochdale, but also alot of other northwest and Birmingham clubs. Within the collection is a first leg league cup final 1962 Rochdale v Norwich, I have seen this selling for very high prices!

What is the best way of selling these programmes?

any help much appreciated

Im Sorting through now and thought id post a few interesting ones:

I think the oldest i've found is 1957 Bolton v The Russian Army Lofthouse center forward.

Another interesting one England v Ireland youth int. @ boundery park in 1962.

this is brilliant I'm really getting the bug.

I think the Rochdale v Norwich programme in good condition could fetch a substantial amount.

I have No Everton Sorry, I might have some aways i will check,

I have one Blackburn Home: V Burnley 64 -65

I have about 20 bury home from 64 - 68 earliest: feb 64 v Dundee

Rochdale - Norwich would go for around £1000 at auction houses in good condition and anything up to £1200, you would probably get as much for it on ebay as it is highly sought after, if you decide to send to private auction try sportingold.co.uk

Does anyone know if the England v Ireland 1962 Youth International has any value. I think it is George Bests first Cap?

This post will mean nothing to you but will to others this programme would be worth thousands if manori was selling it in eBay! Can I suggest you check out these two websites for valuations www.footballprogrammes.com or www.brentside.co.uk the prices are higher than you would get but gives you some idea also if you can't find it listed that is a good sign. You could also eBay search it

Thanks for all your help guys of FPC. It really is a great forum and it has inspired me to start my own collection with some of my favorites from my Fathers(expect my wants list up in the near future).

As for the Rochdale v Norwich 62 League Final, Im going to put it on Ebay today. I've had a few PMs about it so I thought i would give you guys the Heads Up. Going to put it on for 10 days starting at £800. I will post a link on here when i put it on.

The programme itself is fairly common but worth trying on ebay with george best in the subject line as even previously common issues with Best now command significant prices such as his testimonial in Belfast.

However I thought his first underage cap was at Oldham not Bolton. I don't have any access to reference books now to check it and can't find anything in a very quick online search.
