This fixture was postponed, one can only assume due to the big freeze....

I saw a copy of the programme on eBay and watched with interest as I really didn't know its value. Even put a bid of 40 quid in with 2 minutes to go (got outbid)....

The issue was also uncut

Remained at 42 quid until about 40 seconds....... Guess the final price!!

I know Chelsea collectors pay silly money, it will be interesting to see if feedback is left to show it has been honoured

Interesting (to a small timer like me) that it jumps in increments of 500 at that level

About 25 years ago, I bought a collection of thousands of programmes from a guy who worked at Maybank Press.
For those too young to remember, they printed most of the big club's issues around that time until they went bust.
There were literally thousands and I think I paid around £250 for the lot which he had brought home over the previous two years.
Took me about three runs in a van to get them home and another three months to sort out.
But lurking among these mainly stock issues, were a few goodies including West Ham v Chelsea Jan 84/85? which the club had told the printers to pulp but as per a few escaped. I had a dozen of them and I got more for them than I had paid for the whole lot!
God knows what they would go for now, especially with many serious collectors of both clubs out there.
Also, in the job lot was the first large size FA Cup final, Everton v Man United 1984-5 but with a white cover instead of the bog standard black.
They went well too.. .if only.. could have a nice few holidays on that lot now.
