Hi Rob, judging by your question, I assume that they went for something either very low like £12 or something very high like £400. Then again, I really shouldn't go assuming.

Me and my wife often go to Windibanks auctions. Football items rarely come up here, but when they do, they normally go for a reasonable price.
However it is all on the day, whether 2 collectors are there to bid on said items.

I would say they went for around £45

There doesn't appear to be anything special amongst that lot , but you never know, there may be a rare postponed or something like that. They don't say how many programmes. Looking at the photo with three piles of programmes. There must be about 50 per pile. So a cheap £2 per programme x 150 = £300. I see a Leeds, a Gateshead, a Pegasus, and a cup final ... so my guess is £400 to £450

Were there any Cardiff v Worcester games in there?

Looks like a pretty much full set of Cardiff 60/61s in there and maybe some late 50s

The suspense is killing everyone now too!!

Don't know, I sent my bid in via email a few days before. Turned out there were 300 all from between 1950-58 !!!! As you can see loads of Cardiff Shocked Craig - How much would you expect that sort of number to cost ? Confused

It's a bit frustrating not being able to see exactly what's in those piles. I'm going to guess four figures!!

Coooorrrr Blimey!

Seems expensive but 300 1950s will make the buyer a decent return. Just amazed the estimate is so far out though - surely a mistake by auctioneer?
