Hi guys,

Just had an email through from a gentelman asking for a valuation on some tickets and wondered if anyone can help?

"I have inherited a pair of 1934 cup final tickets - unused, there is a story attached as to why they were not used, roughly, what do you think is the value of these?"

Cheers guys
Craig

mmmm interesting...
if they were used you would be looking at around £80 each in the current deflated market.
however presuming that these are genuine unused tickets i would imagine £120-£150 each would be attainable.

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. The holder of the tickets has decided he may like to donate them to Man Citys museum since the figures involved werent huge so hopefully they will be on display somewhere soon.

The story behind the tickets being unused is

"My father was a Manchester city fan and my mother was an aquaintace of some of the City 1st team, Busby, Swift, and Eric Brook,et al, they duly acquired tickets but as they were not yet married my mother's mother refused to let her go! Can't see it happening now somehow."

City dont have a museum anymore-let's face it what on earth could they put in it and then charge to go in? maybe the new owner can obtain some trophies wholesale like hebuys a team-hahahaah whose bitter? gotta go a long long way before there is going to be anything coming from that side of the town that is going to frighten the likes of the established clubs that compete year after year for the silverware. I suppose sod and the law of averages will say ONE DAY, well for me that day can take as long as it likes, bet the manager goes before crimbo if he aint cuttin it-again. Big money will demand success-and they have more pressures on them than Chelsea has for sure or Arsenal or even potless United as we shall be known unless we spend a few shillings soon. All good fun Scouse and as for those calm downers they are looking into the abyss, nice man Roy but he is going to inherit a lot of aggro that has built up for ages-Raffa should have been slung 2 years ago but they kept him cos of the obvious, had he gone and Roy came in then what he would have cost to be slung out may have been clawed back by winnin something major like the Carling Cup-we had to win it again! what a pain eh!! I thought you started the sarcasm?

"City dont have a museum anymore-let's face it what on earth could they put in it and then charge to go in? "

If you think what people have written is drivel then feel free not to read it.

I'd let it go Les, I thought you were better than rising to anything coming from that Gary 'project manager' Cook led rabble.

And thats not an anti Citeh comment, far from it. I've a lot of time for their support after the rubbish they've had to put up with for decades, I just hope all this doesn't end in tears and their support retains its witty and slightly not too serious take of itself. I'd hate to see their support become a preserve of the 'boutique' support like Chelsea, where lads who've gone for years through the lean years suddenly can't get in because of the tourists and the money men.

facts cannot be sarcasm-they closed it down as there was no fan base action and the owners have no interest-so what do you put in a museum to bring in the punters-and get the locals interested in the club.

i think this has run it's course-u wanna continue it headmaster-then feel free ur on ur todd. as they say in the den-"im out"
