On behalf of Grumpy here is the programme he has.

So, out of all of these issues, which one would be the most valuable?!
As with every rare programme, it always depends on just who wants it more on the day. Some are probably a lot rarer than others but not as sought after. The Chester issue for example went for £100 nine years ago whilst Chelsea's friendly no 1 issue went for £8K at the same auction!
A poor copy of Liverpool's first issue went for £11K recently but I suspect that this wouldn't come anywhere near the price that would be realised for the earliest Newton Heath programme.... |

Not sure if this is the oldest Queens Park programme.
Queens Park v Bathgate 26&27 of January 1923.

Quite a find. Are you able to post clearer images on the Facebook page Scottish Football Programme & Memorabilia Fairs
Someone there will know. _________________ https://www.flickr.com/photos/footballprogrammes/albums |

Not on Facebook (at the moment) but I'll see what I can do.....
I presume plenty were printed for the royal visit.
Any idea of its value? |

Apparently the first known Everton programme is Everton v Astley Bridge 4/9/1886. Here’s a copy of Everton v Notts Rangers 4/5/1889. I can’t believe the number of friendly games that teams seemed to play that season. I think there there was only 12 teams in the original Football League. |
Everton didn't enter the League until 1893, so I'd imagine everything before this would be a friendly or Cup match??
I've got Everton v Sunderland in 1892-3, and that was a friendly, and 1893-4 which was a league match. These are the 2 oldest I have got.
Oldest Sunderland Home Programme I have got is 1906-7 v Aston Villa, although this was the first home match of the season, I'm certain there were ones before this |

Selsafc, it looks like Everton were one of the twelve founding members of The Football League 1888-89 season . This is a copy of their first League programme. If only l had that programme? This one against Newton Heath is interesting as well l think they claim this Man Unt first ever programme but l don’t know about that? |

Everton issued programmes in the previous season (1885/86) and I have seen a scan of the programme from the game against Sheffield Wednesday on Easter Monday 26th April 1886. |
