I saw the programme last night. Ex goalkeeper Peter Grotier, who also played in the game, in which the programme was being restored. I could not believe it when the restorer actually placed the programme in a hot bath of water!!! However, the programme really came out really well and I was very impressed with the result.

I'm not sure if I would want it restoring to be honest, although to be fair Angelina Bakalarou did a good job (from a distance at least)

Worth a watch on iplayer just for some of the techniques she uses

I know what you mean Grantham, but to be fair it was a top class restoration

He could I suppose always have bought a better condition copy (as there are some about) and kept the original signed one as it was

That said, there was no damage to the signature (thank god!!)
