I thought you might find this interesting.. Apparently according to my Dad they didn't get many programmes in the 1966 season.. But heres one he's got.
He wants to know Is there many others out there?
He's well and truly down memory lane at the moment and look through all his old stuff. Very Happy

Hi Nigel.. Its M. Taylor.. He's number 11 in that program. But ended up in goal that game as the regular keeper Brunt took ill on the way o er,
Sadly he's not on the cfchistory.com website I need to drop them a email at some point and try and get it updated if it still operating?..

It a really good site for Chesterfields history someone has put a heck of a lot of effort into it.. and to be honest its got most of Dads team mates on but he's Awol ?

I'm Ken Foster, one of the people who try to maintain the CFC History web site, my part is programme info. And I also update team line-ups when any appear. I sit a few seats away from Nigel Goodlad at CFC home matches

The only sources for team line ups in the NIL were occasional reports in the Derbyshire Times also whenever a programme or teamsheet turns up. CFC played home NIL games at the training ground until 67-68 so that's why there are very few entries for the NIL before then

I'd like to know of any teamsheets that your dad has got and if they list the line ups then I'll get the CFC History site updated – though I only do updates a couple of times each year. I will update that Grimsby match to put your dad in goal that day and a note that Malcolm Brunt was taken ill

Ken

Hi Ken,

I've spoken to my Dad and he said the only team sheet he has for CFC in print is on the reverse of the above program.. But can remember most of the line ups from most games.

He sent me this in a text.. He played "G/K...Centre Back...Left Half...Left Wing... Anything on the left side because I only had a left foot.
Full debut...v Rotherham, 1st January 1966. Played in other games leading up to debut in friendlies."

I have just spoken to him and he's agreed to let me give you his email.
It's probably easier to hear it from they horses mouth so to speak..

So I'll send you a PM.. Feel free to pass it onto Nigel too if there is anything he could help him with also.

Regards Saul

I don't have a pic of the other side to hand.. Its at my dads..

But he's texted me the names of Grimsby players on it.

1. Philip Evans
2. Roy Hayes
3. Stephen Burgess
4. Angus Davidson
5. Perry Thompson
6. David Morgan
7. Stuart Housley
8. Brian Kerry
9. David Garland
10. David Harney
11. Robert Hobson

Hope that helps.
