Thank you for clarifying that for me Blue.
One web site I had been on had Denis Law in line up ,us young kids were so excited at going to this game to c the new super star who had come onto the seen Huddersfield forward Denis Law when the teams came out no Law in the side he had signed for Manchester City the night befor no blanket coverage of the game back then we kids weer so disappointed .
This was one of the first games I went to ,the Liverpool winger the great Billy Liddle took a pen and missed he hit the ball so hard it hit a post and burst open !!!.

I see Chris Balderstone is there in the Huddersfield line-up. The only player ever to take part in a Football League match, and a County Championship cricket match on the same day.

Thedoog,,, l bet Bill Shankly wished he could have brought this young Scot to Anfield with him when he left Huddersfield to become Liverpool manager!

Indeed, Leicestershire day-time and Doncaster evening. Not only that but he was not out overnight and, after playing in a 1-1 draw v Brentford, in the morning completed his century.
