After mulling over the current situation with regards to COVID. I have taken the decision to cancel the fair planned for the 30th December.

To echo what Jim Thomson who organised the recent Stirling Fair but has had to cancel the fair at Glasgow in January.

It wouldn’t be possible to hold the type of event that I would like to. Everyone would have to wear masks in what would be a confined area, and that I feel have a negative impact on attendance.
It just wouldn’t be the same.

I’m aware that some of you may hold similar concerns.

Locally we have seen a huge increase of Positive cases in the last week.

The Wife, and one of my lads currently have it.

Looking ahead, I have two fairs in the pipeline planned for around the end of the season/summer, one on a small scale at the club and another larger scale fair which will hopefully be at one of the local professional clubs.

Dates to be confirmed ASAP dependant on what’s happening with COVID.

Hopefully, you’ll understand the decision I’ve come to in regards to the December event.

Like i said on the Facebook page Stu, totally understand your frustration, but the right decision. Here is hoping for a much better 2022 and we can get these Fairs up and running

Sensible decision for the benefit of all.

Please keep me posted with any forthcoming events local to Sheffield in 2002, as I would be interested in a table(s) if available.
