If it was played in Limerick then it is unlikely such a programme exists. Although we did issue for league games that season nothing was done for friendlies v Brighton and Plymouth and it is likely one would have turned up if issued.

Limerick is in the south west of the Republic of Ireland btw.

I found the Queen of the South game - 26th March 1970.

I've asked my father who would have been going at the time and he cannot recall it but he will check with fans and players from the time with better memories.

Spoke to a fan with an excellent memory who was following us at the time. He is adamant we never played Metallist or indeed any team from the former Soviet Union or current Ukraine.

Spoke to another fan recently and Metallist Kharkiv almost certainly played Shamrock Rovers in 1970 in Dublin. He recalls going to watch Rovers play Kharkov and being well beaten in the spring of 1970.

He is certain no programme was produced (Rovers didn't issue for any league games that season anyway). He is a programme collector.

Is it possible they were due to meet Limerick and played Shamrock Rovers instead?
