With Arsenal on their way to play Dundalk next month I'm trying to work out when Arsenal last played in Ireland. Their only competitive game in Ireland was at Glentoran on their way to winning the 69-70 Fairs Cup, the most recent friendly I can find is at Shelbourne in March 1992. Anything more recent than that?

They played Glentoran in a friendly (W2-0) at The Oval on 29 December 1981. The game was announced only that morning or late the previous night. There was a long spell of bad weather in the UK at the time and not many matches were played (a lot of postponements).

This game was hastily arranged to give Arsenal much needed match practise.

I was at the game. No programme was produced, the game being arranged at such short notice. There may have been a team-sheet produced, but I don't believe so.
