All Leeds homes....

50/51
Albion Rovers
Haarlem
Rapid wien
Huddersfield (West Riding Cup)
Bradford City (West Riding Cup)
Bradford PA (West Riding Cup)

53/54
Hibernian
East Fife
St Mirren
Aberdeen
Charlton

54/55
Hibernian
Arsenal
Huddersfield (West Riding Cup)

55/56
Halifax (West Riding Cup)
Chelsea
Arsenal
Huddersfield (West Riding Cup)

80/81
Dortmund

Any help would be very much appreciated, I am led to believe that there is an issue for each game mentioned, although not 100% certain.

If anybody has a spare copy then would be interested in what you are after for it, or how much you paid if not spare.

Thanks in Advance

Date for Arsenal friendly 1955/56 is 7th Nov 1955 score 3 - 0 to The Arsenal with Tapscott scoring twice and Lishman netting another. Attendance was spprox 19,000.
Can't find any mention for a game during season 1954/55?
I don't have these programmes, sorry.
Hope this helps.

This information is taken from the 'Leeds Utd A Complete Record 1919-1986' published by Breedon Books. Both West Riding Senior Cup Finals.

50/51
Bradford (West Riding Cup) - 12/5/51 0-4. Unfortunately it does not indicate whether it is City or Park Avenue

55/56
Huddersfield (West Riding Cup) - 28/11/55 5-2

Hope this helps mate Thumbs Up

Cheers for the information guys, trying to get a complete list of games and programmes available back to the war.

Have contemplated the Breedon book - Complete record for quite a while, does it cover all West Riding games?

Thanks once again for the information so far guys.

Unfortunately the Leeds Breedon book only lists the West Riding Senior Cup Finals that Leeds have been involved in and not the earlier rounds.

Some of the early Breedon books are now sought after and can fetch prices of up to between £30 & £50. They supply an excellent historical reference of the clubs including some obscure info.

Whilst browsing through the book again I came across the following Festival of Britain games :

Rapid Vienna 9/5/51 2-2.
Haarlem 14/5/51 2-0

Two more off your list Thumbs Up

The Leeds v hibs 29/9/54 is one of the hardest Hibs friendlies in England to obtain.
I saw it once on ebay( last year)) and it went for £251. I could not believe it went so cheap. I have never seen it on a catalogue and i know most serious hibs collectors require it.
The 9/11/53 issue does turn up. expect to pay around £80-£100 for a creased copy ( again these were ebay prices ). I have seen it on a catalogue at £125 ( reduced from £300)

55/56 Halifax (West Riding Cup)

Semi Final October 3rd 1955 score 1-1, attendance: 6500.
Semi Final replay October 17th 1955 score 1-0 to Leeds att: 4000.
Both matches played at Elland Road.
Programmes exist for both matches, the first match last one i saw sold for £60, the Replay is rare, Sportingold sold one last year for around £300 including buyers premium.

The only post war Leeds v Halifax WRSC match without a programme is 1962/63 May 29th 1963 played at the Shay.

info taken from the Definitive Halifax Town AFC book, it also lists every other Leeds/Halifax WRSC cup match in the book from the first match played 1922/23 - let me know if you require the details,

Robert

Thanks to every one for sharing their information with me, this is very much appreciated and shows what this forum is all about.

1980Cossie, I would appreciate a list of Leeds/Halifax games in the WRSC, this will act as a great resource for my list.

Thanks to all.

Yes have them both, the game at Leeds i have seen on Ebay twice in the last 5 years, both times it fetched around £50.

The game at Peterborough I have seen an A4 photocopy on Ebay fetch £40 plus. The original is a large single sheet about 2 inch broader and deeper than A4. In 1961 nobody used A4 paper, I dont think it even existed.
There was an original on D Taylor's last catalogue at £250. In the last 35 years I have seen about 5 originals for sale.
