eBay. Selling to Turkey!!

A guy in Turkey has bought a BIN item although I stated that I only posted to the UK
He is practically begging me to sell it to him and wants me to send by recorded delivery
Nobody else can now buy the item as he has not paid but it's marked as sold !!
Is the GPS system the only way to progress this ? .
If I send it to him by registered post and bypass eBay then how do I cancel the eBay transaction ??

Why not ask him if you can send it to someone he knows in the UK? Either they can take it out to him when they go back or let them have the responsibility of posting it to Turkey?

Apparently there is no PayPal in Turkey ! It all seems very complicated. He would get someone in the Uk to pay me direct by PayPal and I would then send to Turkey by tracked post.
If this happens then eBay are bypassed although the item is currently marked as sold awaiting payment !!
Assuming it all goes well then do eBay collect a fee for an unpaid item ?

I had a similar issue a while back Hibernian.
Ebay advised me to archive the item so it "went away", but that they could not properly deal with any conclusion.
I ended up cancelling the transaction after discussing with the buyer and then relisted with the option for him to re-purchase bypassing GSP via a direct delivery option.
It was a pain,but ended well.

If he's getting someone in the UK to pay you by PayPal, then I'd send the item to that person and then he/she can deal with the hassle of sending it to Turkey (assuming they have the buyer's address).

The upshot is that it was paid by PayPal from his mate in Mexico!!
Tickets posted yesterday to Turkey by signed for and tracked delivery
I realise his Mexican mate can claim back from PayPal, but hopefully it all goes smoothly
We will wait and see
