Why so many Buy Now options on Ebay, is that desperation on the part of the seller to achieve what I assume some on here would regard as inflated Pricing?
When we watch the Flog It type programmes they encourage people to add come and buy me estimates to stimulate interest.
No doubt you will tell me that many of those offered on Ebay as Buy Now are over priced, or are those selling simply playing a number game which is strange given that we all seem to agree that we are now operating in a receding market.
I've offered youngsters programmes to see if there is an interest, never had a taker yet, would I have the same problem if I was offering them the latest video game or iPhone?
Depressing really.
Sorry I drifted off the subject at the end.

I use buy it now sometimes if the price is right

Sometimes I see Buy it now OR BEST OFFER, that to me just says the seller will take less that the buy it now price

I know I get 3 goes at an offer, so start off very cheekily low first one or two times

Unless the item is very rare or I really want it, then I don't faff about and just pay the buy it now price straight off

re kids - some people have collecting in their blood fro a very young age and others just don't

I would have been about 5 I reckon when my Nan gave me a stamp album an she use to save me any stamps off envelopes, I became obsessed with that, then it was football stickers or anything out of cereal packets, mum would send off for golly badges from the marmalade jars, you name it!, then footy programmes was a natural thing to collect once you'd been a few games and alwys got them, then I started buying football badges when I had a bit of my own pocket money and could get them at games, slippery downhill slope after that! Anything collectible!

There will always be some kids collecting match attax football cards

I think if you have a Shop on Ebay you can list Buy It Now items free, as opposed to auction items where to pay a listing fee. If someone is listing a lot it can save a fair bit in fees, as Ebay/Paypal take a big chunk out of the proceeds anyway.
