I was wondering how people sort and organise their club programme collections? I know chronological would be one way or maybe separate into league, F A Cup, League Cup, Europe would be another way

I've always done home by season in date order.

Aways by club in date order.

I don't have so much of a problem with European issues or too many lengthy cup runs! Very Happy

Mine are kept in season and date order. Homes in one clearview type binder and Aways in another binder - up to 1985. Then, from 1986 to present, in separate box files, home and away, and in individual plastic pockets. Smile

Friendlies, cup matches and reserve matches all kept in said binders in season order. Smile

My Derby collection is done the standard way, season-by-season.

I have everything I know about (which isn't everything) on a fancy spreadsheet but I prefer my handwritten records which I started doing in 1977 and have kept updated (it's more fun that way).

The non-league one-per-club collection is sorted firstly by decades then, within each decade, A to Z.

This must all make me seem highly organised - which, if you saw this flat, you would soon realise is not the case Smile

I store my Leeds collection in binders from JW Binders in chronological order and season by season. E.g. one binder per season homes.

I have sold some of my post 1956 collection so the rest is in season by season in a box file for each season.

The League one days are stored in piles on a shelf...

I store my reserves in big leaver arch files and each file probably holds 7-8 seasons at a time (Single sheet issues mainly). Again in chronological order.

My Ashford Town collection is in 2/3 folders, and once again in chronological order.
My Kent League collection is season by season in another folder....

I have a spreadsheet to keep tabs on what I have and use my website to help remind me of what I need.

Mine are in date order with homes and aways separated and then bagged in seasons. Then they are boxed and put in the "programme cupboard" (which is almost a room!).
Recently, I have thought about putting them in binders instead of the boxes, still keeping homes and aways separate, but keeping testimonials etc completely separate.
I thought about it so long my head started to hurt, so it would be good to see what others do.

Mine are in binders, season by season, in date order.

I have separate binders for home and away.

At one stage I had everything for a particular season together, eg league, cup, friendlies etc but now find it easier to locate a programme by having these in separate binders.

I have a similar format for reserves and separte binders for youth and youth cup.

Club home and aways in date order - by season - in boxes in a cupboard.

Non club home and aways in date order - by decades - mostly in boxes but some of the older stuff in binders.
