Hi Guys
I have Swansea v burnley 28/2/48 programme number 15, friendly, and was wondering about the rarity of this issue. I think both teams had been knocked out of the FA cup and maybe played this at short notice. I also have a 46/7 reserve home v chelsea played 7/6/47 in the combination cup semi final and a reserve v arsenal 29/11/48. Also a 45/6 first team (17/11) issue v brentford. Are these programmes rare/valuable?
Finally are there any other rare/ valuable general league in 46/7 and 47/8 that never/rarely seem to appear for sale? Cheers for any imput

Hi. Burnley won this friendly 3-1. I have it in my own collection and have seen it a few times but it's fair to say it's among the rarer Burnley post war issues. PM me if you are interested in selling it.

Cheers

I don't know what the value of the reserve ones are, but I'd imagine quite a lot as they're against Chelsea and Arsenal.

Victory league programmes tend to go for a fair amount too, one against Millwall sold for £80 odd on ebay recently, although I suspect that Brentford will be worth less.

General league programmes from 46/47 and 47/48 vary depending on the opposition, but if in good condition you can expect at least £20 each for them I would have thought.

Not sure why I'm not saying they're all worth nothing mind Wink
