They look like coin collectors' trays to me Scott, they're ideal for storing pin badges smartly.

What a stunning collection of badges that is, I've long admired those steward & SI pins from afar, and really enjoyed seeing John's pics of them all together.

Very envious indeed of the wonderful collections you guys are building up there fella.

Hi scott mine are in a system by LINDNER which are german made i ordered direct from them as it works out cheaper ,prices are in euros the alu carry case code 2358 is 74,50 then 8 trays code 2721 at 18,90 each plus postage at 12,00 then german vat at 19% =45,17 gives a total of 282,87 euros .This my seem a lot but when a collection can be worth £8000 condition is very important ,also each badge is put in a 50mm plastic coin pocket this protects from greasy fingers.All fit in apart from the 1974 supertindendents which is too long.hope this helps

Thanks again John for your responses. I now have a dilemma, do I go for my own bespoke hard wood design or yours.
I have to spend some time mulling that one over.

The Smol Museum site is a great site for reference for the steward and superintendent badges and for lots of other items as well.

Hi John, great collection on show. I've recently bought a few off this chap, I'm assuming that he's been selling off his doubles.

I have a 1946 steward badge it's cardboard rather than metal.


In answer to another question you posted on here the pin on that 1948 superintendant badge was a repair, I have that same badge and the pin and badge are the same metal/colour. Geoff
