I purchased one each of the three variations of programme bindeers @ modernbook binders to test, looks like the standard size A5 binder fits square editions in and can get half a season in one so 4 binders per season not too bad. I have a few questions for people with the A5 standard slipcase binders.

1. The spacers in the standard pocket binders, do you advise keeping these in for structure as I might need to remove all of them for more space for the modern thickest programmes, any feedback on what has worked for you is appreciated.

2. Are the custom madestickers a square sticker with text on or is the sticker just the text only requiring professional application? Or are these print/embossed?

3. Anyone know of any plastic corners/edges I can purchase to protect the binder edges? I noticed after just resting vertically the bottom had started to bend and bow.

I used the links on here and have finally put all of my collection in binders (for now). From before I had spent £100s acquiring old Arsenal binders from ebay, as well as newer ones from the club shop.

Looks amazing.

How far back does your collection go?

Looks lovely. Assume that's homes only as it only takes one club per season to issue in A4 (ie Southampton in recent seasons) to muck it up!!!

You can check the link in my signature. I am currently working on war-time homes. I have from every home match since 1944, minus a few postponed. Some binders are filled with fanzines as well.

Some of these look great-especially the Arsenal and Everton ones. I'm looking at re-housing my whole collection (it's rugby league, not football so you'll have to forgive me!): complete bar 45 going back to 1939, so will be a hefty investment that I want to get right, as only planning on doing once! Fortunately, the missus is treating me, and I've got my own room for them now, as we've just had our extension finished!

I've had a chat with a local bookbinder and looking likely I'll sort something with him. What I'm interested in is seeing the inside of any of the ones posted here, to see what kind of 'mechanisms' are in there- any chance of this dvs, notreve or anyone else?

Also, I'm planning on moving to archive quality pockets, ideally from Mylar, which sounds the best available (other recommendations welcome). The problem I've got is the best solution I've come up with with my bookbinder guy requires punch holes on the sleeves, and I can't find any Mylar ones like this. Anyone able to post a link to anything suitable?

I'll also post updates as I progress: here's the current solution (book shelves not sorted yet, as though I'd sort the files first to see what I need!)
