Tommy Taylor Barnsley Statue

I seem to remember a while ago there was a thread here about statues at football grounds - or a link to a site ?

Anyway - this is to inform anyone who is interested that a statue of TOMMY TAYLOR is in the early planning stages to be located in Barnsley town centre or at Oakwell. Funds are being raised and it is hoped that an Under 18 tournament to be named after Tommy will also be set up.





I will add updates here as and when they occur

just a word or warning

is this being done solely by a group of Barnsley guys?

or is it being promoted by a gentleman who has commissioned many similar statues. his only real concern is making a lot of money for himself!
