I am a very tolerant and amiable guy as those who have met me/dealt with me will (hopefully) testify to. I am a career journalist and have been taught to deal with a whole cross-section of society, the important, the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright stupid, all with tolerance and respect. But sometimes something tips you over the edge.
This evening I had a facebook 'conversation' with someone who wanted to buy two FA Cup final programmes from me, 2007 and 2013.
I sell these in mint condition at £7 each and to be frank, I sell a few so my pricing must be about right. When I told my prospective punter the price, £14 plus postage to the Republic of Ireland, this was the reply I got:

Too much for me sorry, I've only got £2 in coins so what could you do for me for that. also do you have any crawley town programmes

I am not perfect, I am not a saint, I am not fit to lace some of the guys on this forum's boots and sometimes I ask what may seem daft questions and I need advice, but when you get cretins like this wasting your time it makes you wonder 'why bother'?
Anyone else had similar experiences? Please share, it will make me feel a whole lot better!

Confused

If you hadn't mentioned the Crawley bit, I'd have said it sounds like he's just a kid. But what kid in another country chooses to follow Crawley Town?

So I'll say he's probably just a WUM.

I know exactly who you mean and he has been all over several FB pages (some not programme related).

Sounds to me like a kid.

Put it down to experience and move on.

Sadly time-wasters are part of running a business.
