A picture of me aged 14, bottom left hand corner dark hair with ALBION on my scarf.. Following the West Bromwich Albion 1968 FA CUP Final winners bus in Birmingham City Centre.. I went to all of the matches the year we won the cup.. On my own including aways at Southampton Portsmouth Colchester Wembley.. I followed the bus to West Bromwich Town Centre 6 miles away.
Some of the 14 year olds today couldnt find their way to school.

Great photo Baz, indead i was a 12 year -old when i first started going to Everton home games (61), i can still recall going to Old Trafford and Bolton for evening kick-offs with a school pal who also was 12-years old.

I to was at the 68 F.A. Cup Final and have never even to this day been able to understand
how we contrived to loose that game.

Has as been said many times in t past may be your theam's name was on t Cup that perticular year.

Our name was on the cup.
Everton were by far the best team on the day.
We were lucky to get a draw at Colchester, in the last minute they scored.. Talbot our centre half in disgust booted it out the ground only for the referee to dissalow it. We won against the odds at Southampton with a stand in goalkeeper and we played Liverpool 3 times.

I went to the final by producing all of my ticket stubs which they kept. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

While we are on about old photos Bazz came across this one by chance several years ago , that is me(With beard) at Besty's right elbow straining to get a good view of the great man.

Early 70s Molineux Wolverhampton game finished 1-1, Best scoring Utd's goal and of all people the very much under rated full-back Bernard Shaw equilizing for Wolves with a shot from well over 30 yards, great days for me.

Just got hold of a cracking batch of 50's photos and among them are these two from the FA Cup.

First up - WBA v Newcastle, 5th round 1954, 61,000 gate at the Hawthorns and Albion en route to Wembley. Narrative says "Police dealing with fainting cases". A wonderful image. "Play up the Baggies" says the banner. The poor lady in front of it just couldn't cope.

Secondly - 4th rnd 1952 and Leyton Orient have just beaten Birmingham 1-0 at St Andrews. Here an O's fan congratulates handsome Jackie Deverall with his "victory smile".

Both images available now, please PM if interested.
