First picture contains 2 x 1920's photos of Burnley Boys Club taken at Turf Moor in the 1920's; England card from the ARAL 1966 album; Scottish betting coupon "totalisator" 1933-4; Topical Times large Scottish card; FAC semi final Sporting Mirror 1949; 5 songsheets 1961 and before, including opening of Port Vale's ground 50-1 (has tear) Prospectus sent out by French FA to countries asling them to vote for them to host 1998 World Cup

Second picture contains 10 x 1978 official world cup beer mats; Colne Dynamoes fixture list 98-9; Players Union card 55-6; signed Henrik Larsson, Nigel Clough, Ian Durrant cards; Edwardian football silk Rotherham County; Let's talk about Charlton annual 1940's; Cardiff City story booklet 74-5; 3 x promotional cards for 92 Euro Championships in Gothenurg; 1958 world cup stamps on Hungaian envelope.

Third picture contains cards made to sit up on a desk like a photo from AGFA in Spain, or Barcelona players 98-9 La Liga Champions.

Fourth picture contains 15 Wolves season ticket books, front covers only 40's/50's/60's; a box of studs you nailed into your boots! complete; 1954 World Cup 1/4 final ticket between England and Uruguay that I have been advised is a fake; 2 Barcelona cards for different sports memberships 1950's; 1982 World Cup coin / fixture list (on reverse) Feyenoord postcard 78-9 with facsimile signatures to reverse; 3 Scottish annuals Usher 60-1, Distillers 62-3, Murphys 35-6; St Mirren card 56-7; London Sunday League handbook 53-4.

Fifth picture contains another, different, bunch of Bracelona official cards from 99-00.

Siuxth picture contains full set of Joe Mercer's 1970 World Cup squad (no base) 2 x 1950's Spanish football clubs cards given away with chocolate; Coventry xmas card; Walthamstow District rule book 1920-1.

There's also 3 FDC's that I had inadvertently missed out. This is the last push - hopefully - to get the Auchinleck Talbot fundraising I've been doing over the £5,000 mark. Postage will be heavy on this because of the amount of stuff involved, but have kept it at what I think is a very reasonable price for someone to either sell on or enhance their own collection at £55. Please pm me if you would like this?

Had to edit it as I missed out 5 x Leamington FC badges, and 21 cards from the 1940's Football Whist game as well.

thanks, John

I seem to remember Joe Mercer and other football busts been given away
at petrol stations early 1970's when my Dad filled up with petrol.

Given as a feeble when purchasing Cleveland Petrol and the busts sat on a plastic base if I recall.

Cleveland Petrol issued a set 16 “ceramic” style busts of top players from the era. These were grandly titled Joe Mercer's Great Britain Soccer Squad 1971. These were collected in the normal way by buying petrol and receiving a mystery figure in return.

I initially thought it was Texaco who gave them away but it was coins that they issued in around 1969.Smile
