The most disappointing programmes for me is when they don't bother to produce one at all.

Yes, that's the ones.

I have had a few of those over the years and it's always disappointing to come away from a pre season friendly at some obscure ground, or from a trip abroad, without any kind of programme or sometimes any souvenir at all to show.

In my view that is the only reason to bother buying them.

Let's face it they never have any exclusive content that can't be obtained online and the are a nightmare to store.

I am in the process of thinning out all my programmes after 1969-70 except a select fews sets.

It's not just me that does that, then Smile

A keen sense of smell is also essential if you collect old vinyl records....

Wouldn't have had you two guys down for dabbling with legal highs. I wonder which club will be the first to have a programme with a health warning printed on it?

Surely the smell of a pre war is far better.

Someone's been watching The Kyle Files this evening!

I'd never heard of any of that stuff before that programme. Is it like sherbet?

I think the only bad things about modern issues is storage and postage.

Sniffing prefereces, (sidestepping the obvious joke) Tarmac, Brasso shoe polish, bacon, eucalyptus, turps, I have comics from the 60's memories flooding back with every whiff.

The all-night bakery in George Street in Aberdeen at 2am on a Saturday morning.
After a heavy session on the beer, that aroma was completely irresistible!

A nice Ruby Murray

A bakery is a good shout. Making me hungry thinking about it.

That smell when it rains after a long, dry spell of weather

I used to love the smell that came from Vaux Brewery . It drifted all over the town. I wasn't so keen on the smell of the horse shit from the dray horses that transported the beer . Oh wonderful days....
