I am trying to locate some info about football specials/disco specials in the years 1973 to 1976
The train set was based in the North West and could be hired out by any football club in the country
I am after some programmes in those above years saying which club hired this football train set.

You probably mean the "League Liner" train. I can't help you too much in terms of actual programmes but the Football League Reviews from those years could well contain the odd article with some of the info you require.

Leicester City hired this train to take fans to Liverpool on 28th April 1973. The match ended 0-0 which gave Liverpool the title for that season
The train at the time was supposed to be the ultimate in comfort and allowed fans to watch TV, eat / drink in an onboard restaurant and also included a disco. The full meal service cost just £7.00 whilst for £4.00 you got a meal service and entry to the disco

Can't see any replica shirts in the picture above.

Below advert for it in LCFC v Stoke programme date 24/03/73

I was on the train going to Sunderland that broke down - there were a few trains so one of the others may have been the liner.

I got a lift in a mate's car to Leeds (R4) so don't know about that one.

Sorry I can't help further.

I seemed to remember that Burnley were the first to run one of these and after looking on Google found this...

Coventry City, under Jimmy Hill's 'Sky Blue Revolution' were the club team to organise its own train for away games - the 'Sky Blue Express' in the mid-1960s:
