Kane Remains England's Key Player As They Chase Euros Success
England head to Euro 2024 as one of the most feared nations taking part. They've always been pegged as an international team capable of winning tournaments, and with their star- studded squad this time around, their claims could be solidified. But while there's talk of other players in the Three Lions group, it's Harry Kane who remains integral to their success.

Any top sports betting site has two very noticeable inclusions where England are concerned: Gareth Southgate's side are the favourites to win Euro 2024, and Harry Kane is, alongside France's Kylian Mbappe, the favourite to be the tournament's top goalscorer. If the latter happens, England would certainly be in with a chance of realising the former. Because, in any competition, a team that has a reliable goal-getter will always have a better chance of success than those that don't.

A lot of recent talk where England are concerned recently has revolved around younger players such as Manchester City's Phil Foden and Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham, who are taking the football world by storm for their performances for their respective clubs. There's no doubt that the Three Lions will be reliant on the Fodens and Bellinghams of this world if they're to achieve what they set out to achieve in Germany, and you'd expect them to chip in with goals along the way, but Kane, his goals and his consistency will ultimately be the deciding factor you'd imagine.

Kane, 30, who swapped Spurs for Bayern Munich last summer, has eighty-nine England caps to his name, and has scored an incredible sixty-two goals. He's also enjoyed a fantastic season in his own right in Munich, even if Bayern have had a disappointing campaign overall. The Three Lions captain has registered forty goals in all competitions at the time of writing and has broken multiple goalscoring records since arriving at Bayern. He's always had the status of being one of the leading strikers in world football, but now that has been further underlined.

Heading into games at Euro 2024, England know they have a striker who will always be in the right place at the right time, and one that is capable of scoring all different types of goals. He can be the player to make the difference in close games, and he can also find a way against Europe's best, which could be crucial if, as expected, Southgate's side make it to the latter stages, where the quality of the opposition will increase.

Kane is also a capable goalscorer from both free kicks and, more importantly, from the penalty spot. The mark of an elite goal-getter is one that is reliable, even under the most testing and trying circumstances. Kane has come up trumps for England so many times previously, and after enjoying arguably the best season of his career so far, he could transfer that and fire the Three Lions to success on the international scene after so many years without.
