Further to an earlier topic about WH Smith selling this programme but with the barcode on; trawled through Ebay tring to find a dealer who has a copy without the barcode but don't seem to be having any joy. Anyone been able to find one or is this actually the official copy? Thanks.

Chhers Saintglover but I should have mentioned that I have emailed those sellers who have photos of the programme without the barcode asking is this an actual photo or do your programmes have barcodes on and they all replied ''yes our programmes have barcodes on''. So what's the story, do ALL the programmes have barcodes on? If so I'd buy one at Smiths. Very perplexing.

I think all what has happened is the programme company will have made this image available to dealers to use on their websites, but since then the barcode has been added.

I will scan my programme and the inside of it which says who produced it etc later.

I emailed footballprogrammes.com who I normally buy big match programmes from and they have said:

Under UEFA/publishers directive, all copies sold in the UK have to have price in sterling and a barcode - that includes our copies. The copies in Rome don't - HOWEVER content is exactly the same in both versions.

So officially there are two different editions. Crying or Very sad

Looks like we won't have to worry about the one from Rome with no barcode on costing an arm and a leg as we will be able to get them cheap enough now due to Man Utd losing tonights final. Very Happy

After emailing a number of people on ebay, managed to get one from Holland for about £11.50 (plus a fiver for P&P). Don't know what the print run was like or whether this programme will appreciate in value but here's hoping.

Had a look and only other ones I could see where included with press apcks, VIP packs etc.

Just won one on eBay for £6.19 in total (inc p+p).

I only bid for it as it looks different to the others.

The differences are....

*No Barcode in the top left hand corner
*No red writing down the left hand side
*The left handle of the European Cup picture on the front cover is not there.

Anyone seen this version before? Looks like there could be 3 different versions now!
