Messages sticking in outbox! Mancitymark please get in touch

Guys

Not sure what's happening here, but all my messages seem to send ok, but then can't be viewed in the sentbox as they are stuck in the outbox. Any ideas?

Mancitymark - please email me at [email protected] as I've been rying to send a message since Wednesday which has highlighted this problem.

Yes I have had a few messages which are not being sent as well and stuck in outbox. It's not all messages just some of them.

It usually means that they have not logged on and read them yet. Once they read them it should go to your sent box

I still have quite a few still in my outbox from a long time ago. Anyway I'm not complaining too much, this is a great site and very useful, so thanks to all.

the message stays in outbox until it has been read after which it goes to sent. Some members don't check messages very often. The slight flaw in the forum is that it sends an alert when posts are made for topics you have contributed but it doesn't alert you when you have a message. Although maybe there is a setting and my techno incompetence has failed to set it up.

I always receive the following message to my Email account when I receive a Private Message.

Hello Rocky Boro,

You have received a new private message to your account on "The Football Programme Forum" and you have requested that you be notified on this event. You can view your new message by clicking on the following link:

Link.........................

Remember that you can always choose not to be notified of new messages by changing the appropriate setting in your profile.

It looks like you need to have the appropriate setting lined up in your profile to receive an alert.

I dont think everyone does get the message when they log on .. Ive still got 2 unreplied messages sent in june and August last year and I know that the people concerned have logged on since then!
