Oh yes.

I am unable to get to many away games but still buy a programme from every one.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Cheers, Jamie.

Not attending games is something most fans a have had to get used to since sky took over the schedule.

We as a family used to have 4 season tickets but as the kids got older and to get a job meant moving around country it was impossible to maintain that even if we could still afford it.

I don't think going to the games matters to most collectors but for those who only collect the games they go to I'm sure it gives them some added enjoyment. It means they can reflect on past game in a more structured way looking back at programmes.

I know I wish I had kept all my programmes from the past in a sort of diary format as I can't remember yesterday now let alone winning the cup in 68 Smile

I have a programme from every league game Sheffield Wednesday played for the 22 years prior to my birth!!

I don't attend anywhere near as many matches as I used to, but I still get a programme for every game.

Similar to me - I was born in 1980, didn't start supporting Burnley until 1992, went on my first Burnley game in 1994, and started collecting programmes in 2004 - now I have almost every home programme for Burnley since 1959!

Used to collect (away) matches not attended (have a reasonable collection) - but restrict it now to mostly homes.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.
I think the point of this hobby is that we all collect the same stuff, but nobody collects the same stuff. I know that sounds obtuse, however I will explain.
We are all programme collectors, but if you looked at everyones collection I doubt you would find 2 that were the same, even between collectors of the same club.
I think what Im trying to say is that its your hobby, your collection, so do what you see fit. You wont find a single person on here who disagrees with what you decide, and most will help where they can. There are no rights or wrongs when it comes to your own collection.
