The glories of auctions ( at least from the sellers point of view)!!!

This apperas to be a classic example of two well known collectors/dealers from different clubs bidding against each other to up the price. The item was won by a DUFC collector/dealer who outbid the KFC collector/trader leaving the third bidder a couple of hundred pounds behind.

Nice item to have in the collection though but I dont think my other half would be happy if I was to spend getting on for five hundred pounds on a 60 year old programme.

Two very collectable clubs. I was fortunate enough to have a 46/7 Dundee Utd home v rangers in my collection and a few years ago managed to pick up another one v St Johnstone.
I was finally persuaded to dispose of the Rangers issue because the other collector turned up quite a few Hibs homes in the 40s which i required. The swap value was a four figure sum
Smile
To put it in perspective however they really do not turn up for sale. I think Pete Rundo has only one 46/7 in his collection, so that shows how difficult they are to acquire.
Some other clubs issues can go for incredible amounts as well.
Dunfermline, Albion rovers, Falkirk to name just 3.

Makes me wonder what my Elgin Programme from 1946 is worth!
