I've just made a MAJOR discovery!

As some on here might be aware, I am in the process of scanning my meagre Huddersfield Town programme collection so that I can upload the covers to my website (link below) for everyone to enjoy.

For a few months now I have had the following item in my collection.



It's a nice collection of pale blue portraits of Town players, seven of which have been neatly autographed in black ink. They have been cut out and stuck onto a sheet of lined paper. Now, I had always been under the impression that this came from a souvenir publication celebrating Town's only FAC Final win over Preston in 1922 - WRONG!!!

Out of curiosity I held the item up to the light so that I could read the text which is behind the pictures, glued to the lined paper. And guess what? It matches EXACTLY the text on the third page of my reproduction 1922 FAC Final programme! So someone, somewhere, sometime, cut up a 1922 FAC Final programme to stick these pictures onto a sheet of paper!

And just in case you're wondering as to just how expensive a mistake this was, I found one for sale at the SportsPages website for £3,900!!

So, I actually have a part of a 1922 FAC Final programme and never realised it!

Incidentally, it's finished now, with all my semis and finals added.
