Just received this month's copy of PM - it is John Litster's last edition as editor. Any idea who the new guys are, Paul Matz and Kevin Whitcher?

New editors/publishers are Paul Matz and Kevin Whitcher.

There is an introduction from them on page 70.

Interesting, and one of the new owners is a publisher.

I expect there will be big changes ahead over the next six months or so. All the best to John Litster, 30 years in charge is a immense effort, and maybe now is the right time to hand over the reigns and bring a more modern look to the magazine.

On page A24 it says that the entire index will be listed online and free to view. Back copies for £1 each.

If it's the same Paul Matz, and I don't suppose there are two many Gunners fans by that name, I was at college with him in Oxford as a mature student in 1984-5.

There was a Paul Matz who was the chairman of the Arsenal Independent Supporters Association. He is now secretary.

I am sure Paul Matz bought a ticket selling website from Simon Kirby (sp?) and closed it down. Which was a great shame as it was the best by miles, just dont think it made any money.

Chance would be a fine thing.

Ive emailed John Lister on atleast 4 occasions offering to publish the whole back catalogue online for him, make it totally searchable and allow comments to be posted on each page on a site that he could charge for membership and every time he replied expressing an interest but never took it up any further.

This would have been the best encyclopedia of football programme knowledge ever and even at just a few quid subscription he could have made himself some money for old rope as i wasnt looking to be paid to do it.

Like a number of other collectors, I had unfortunately let my subscription to PM lapse. Though it was by no means perfect I have to say that John Litster did a fantastic job in keeping it going.
I wish the new editors success and hope that they can keep it going for another 30 years.
We will have to wait and see if they do actually manage this.

End of an era.........start of another?

Didn't a couple of Arsenal followers publish BOOT which was similar to Programme Monthly's Market Place? I don't think Paul Matz and Kevin Whitcher were involved though.

It says in PM that they will be canvassing readers online and via the mag for ideas on what they would like to see in the mag in future.

I think the new owners may be more receptive to your idea.

Hi,

Does anyone know if John Litster is continuing with production of the programme binders? I've got an order outstanding at the moment, 6 months and counting!

Cheers
