Not forgetting; Grimbsy v Wolves F.A. cup semi-final 39.
Aston Villa v Everton F.L.C.2nd r ?
Nottingham Forest v Liverpool F.L.C. ?
Although i do think there were a few Internationals playing in these games, I will have to start doing some research re last two ,i am getting very lazy in my old age.
Im sure there are many many more.
PS. did you have any luck selling that Frank Soo autographed photo , and how much if so did it sell fore Red.

A few that spring to mind:

73/74 - Manchester City v Walsall, League Cup 2nd round 2nd replay
77/78 - Manchester City v Luton Town, League Cup 3rd round 2nd replay
85/86 - Bury v Manchester City, League Cup 2nd round 1st leg (this was Bury's home game, Gigg Lane was being renovated and police insisted the tie was moved)

I also recall an Altrincham v Everton FA Cup tie at Old Trafford in the late 70s/early 80s (?)

How could i forget this one ,was one of the first games i attended , was a bitterly cold evening with Old Traf covered by a blanket of snow.
Liverpool lost this game 1-0 Peter Thompson scoring the P.N.E. goal and signing for the Pool not long after.
