Abbey United / Cambridge United

Until the 1951-52 season Cambridge United were known as Abbey United. This last week I've picked up a lovely little programme, Ely City vs Cambridge United reserves, and I got it for about £6. It's a friendly match dated September 4th 1951, and the programme notes that this is Ely's first home programme of the season. In the welcome Cambridge United reserves page it says that this is a rematch of the first game played at Cambridge.
Does anybody know whether Cambridge produced this season? I know they produced as Abbey United in the late 1940's.
It's very obviously one of the very first games listed as Cambridge rather than Abbey. Think at the September date though it's highly unlikely to be the first one under the new name. Anybody help out please?

For the 1951-52 season Cambridge United were in the Eastern Counties League. I collect King's Lynn programmes and whilst I have a home programme against Cambridge United in the East Anglian Cup, I have no aways (yet) for this season!!

John,Cambridge Utd did produce programmes for the 51/2 season.I have a programme from the home Eastern Counties League match against Tottenham Hotspur A played 20 Oct 1951.Produced in amber and black the programme folds out into 8 pages.No fixture list/results section so unable to confirm opposition for first home game of the season.

I have 51/2 Cambridge v Peterborough res, also notice there is a Cambridge home from this season coming up at auction in the near future.

Doesn't have the reserve / first team fixtures in it by any chance?
