Reading first/last - Elm Park and Madejski Stadium

Can anyone confirm what the last fixture was to be played at Elm Park and the first at the Madejski Stadium please?

I know the last league fixture was 97/8 Norwich and the first was 98/9 Luton Town.

I was told the first ever at the Madejski Stadium was against Sheffield Wednesday (15/07/1998) in a friendly but after purchasing the programme it says welcome to Elm Park.

As far as I know the last at Elm Park was a testimonial for Gilkes ( cant remember his first name, might be Michael) on 2/8/98. I assume a programme was issued but I am still on the lookout for one.
Then the first at Madejski was v Luton on 22/8/98

Looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Gilkes though it says he was at Wolves in 97-99?

Possibly a delayed testimonial? I cannot remember where i got the info from re the last game at Elm Park but I was told this was the relevent match. Interested to know if this is definetely the case, and if so was a programme issued

1st match at Madejski was v Luton, I was there, and it wasn't until the day before that the ground was given the go ahead from the safety people.
