Looks like this will possibly be quite pricey in the near future. Rumor has it that they pulled the programme before kick off - with only a few people obtaining it and some getting a few from bins. Bit of a blow for me as I collect city europeans and not too sure how many escaped.

I was at the match last night but unfortunately missed out on the programme. The reason it was pulled is that the City team photo had been doctored (officially or not isn't clear!) so that other players faces such as Rooney, Torres etc replaced existing players. Also one player wore a red and white hooped shirt instead of a MCFC shirt! When the City officials saw the prank they requested that the programme was withdrawn, possibly via the UEFA rep at the match.

On my coach there were about 4 or 5 copies obtained, a couple by people who'd been up to the Aris club shop earlier in the day and another couple that had been retrieved from a bin. It does seem from a comment by an Aris fan that none made it into the Aris sections of the stadium pre-match so I'd guess that maybe only a few dozen made it into public hands but we'll no doubt soon see for sure as they pop up on e-Bay.

I managed to get one copy from the Souvenir shop about 4pm Greece Time but it took a lot of begging as it had been pulled by then.
I was paying for my Aris shirt and i noticed one copy behind the counter on the desk and asked if i could have buy it the girl in the shop said no because it had been pulled and if she gave it me her boss would sack her so i said can i speak to your boss then so she took me to a little office in the shop to her boss. She was very apologetic saying that the mistake was her fault but she did not realise that it had players who did not play for city she thought the only mistake was the guy in a red and white hooped shirt which looks like wheres wally. however she said that unfortunately i could not have it because of the mistake but after begging for about 10 minutes she noticed i had an Aris bag with the shirt i bought she said put it in your bag and do not show it to anybody Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
i then went around the ground looking on floor and bins with my mate and he managed to find one on the floor for his dad who is also a serious collector.
I am not sure but at a guess there would have been between 50-100 copies that survived i saw handfulls a city fans inside the stadium with copies but not many and off the Thomas Cook official trip about 10 of us who got one programme each.
My copy is not perfect in any way the back cover is a litlle creased but it has no rips in it

I love these tales of blagging rare programmes especially abroad.I wonder if she knew how much you'd pay for it. Wink
Aris have collectors who are prepared to pay decent money for scarves and tickets but not so much the programme if the Bolton v Aris tie a few seasons ago is representative.Expect a large, noisy travelling support in Manchester.

An Aris v City programme is now on ebay

I offered her money for it loads of time but she said no money as they would usually be given out free.
TBH i didn't think she was going to change her mind though and let me have it it was more of a surprise than anything when she eventually gave it to me.
after speaking with a few Aris fans they said they are expected to bring 4000 to Manchester next week.
I know the person selling that programme so the lucky bugger must have got 2 as he is also a serious collector have noticed that the one on eBay is ripped though.
I do expect a few more to find there way on ebay but not like after any usual city european away game i could of course be wrong but unless someone found a box full then i dont think you will see more than 5-10 on eBay but time will tell
just over the moon i got one and don't have to panic bid on eBay for one

Looks like Robert Pires as one of the 8 keepers!
How many of these players are on loan but still owned by sheik yer money?.
Who are all this lot-well as we are all being a little "silly" i reckon they could play them all on the pitch at the same time including the one in the red shirt and they would still have that banner at the Stretford end next season Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

34 years and still there-deserve a bloody medal all of ya!, get less for murder.

someone in Greece will soon get wise to this I'm sure and one (or more) or the boxes to be pulped will be heroically saved and flood the market and then everyone paying £50 today will look silly.... Sherlock

but can you take that chance..... Mad
