Hi everyone,

I need some help with the short history of Maidstone United's stay in the Football League.

I know they had crowds of over 2,000 during their Southern League times but did they have any larger crowds during their time as members of the Football League before they went 'belly-up'?

Anyone know the highest home attendance?
At the time they played 'derby' games v Gillingham and also played against some 'big' clubs who were in Div 4 at the time.

Highest home gate for final season;

v Gillingham 3264!!!

That is from the final programme v Mansfield (so not a conclusive record for that season)

Average League gate of 1439 they did play at Dartford's ground though

Even Leicester in the LC cup attracted a massive 1638

937 v Fulham in the AGT

944 v Carlisle in the league

842 v Hereford in the league
