I assume the 2001 charity shield was because it was the first one to be held in Cardiff.

It's also the only game in living memory where the referee didn't allow an extra 10 minutes for Manchester United to find an equaliser! Wink

The 2006 FA Cup final, as I understand it, is due to there being an error at the printers and not enough copies being printed.

I suspect someone with a bit more knowledge may be able to put a bit more meat on the bones.

I read somewhere that only 40-45000 were printed for the 2006 FA cup final instead of the normal 100,000 or whatever it is.
I was at the 2001 Charity Shield and remember the stadium announcer saying that all the programmes had sold out on the day, must have been a smaller print run again than normal.
Saying that both of these seem to be selling for a lot less these days.
