The programme with the flags on the cover?

21st May 1957 + 23rd May 1957, they played twice and I'm fairly certain this was the only programme issued for both games.

Recent prices fetched at auction

Bonhams 2005 £129 plus Buyers prem.
SG 2007 £150
SG 2009 £80
SG 2010 £280 with the year written on front.

For anyone who can explain the pattern, answers on a postcard! Confused

Quite a difference from the last 3 sold on Ebay, most recently £46, £31 before that and £80 before that one.

yes, does make you wonder who's doing the bidding at certain auctions, doesn't it?

If the programme has a blue insert teamsheet inside which was an update for the match played on the 23rd its worth a lot more, this could be why one sold for £280..

Meaning? I can't recall the exact amount I paid but it wasn't 3 figures and in the current climate who knows. At sportinggold last year it didn't sell as estimate was over £100. In 2009 with an estimate of 50-60 it made £80 with commission to pay. Ok I may be 10 quid or so out. Pablo what is your valuation out of interest?

Just meaning that you posted it twice. I would value a decent condition copy at around £60.

Incidentally I dont have this in my collection, so if anyone does have one available, let me know!

Thanks, is there a bug in the software? I use my phone and it seems to be posting twice unless it is because I am knackered!

staevnet 19560001

This item does turn up on a regular basis it seems, it states the 2 dates on the cover but inside there is only the line ups for the first game. I am showing a Blue team sheet alongside it dated for the next match, this was a press sheet and was not made available to the paying public. To my knowledge i have never seen another copy of this press sheet ever and with it being dated i would value this item well in excess of £350 alone.

There is much comment about the pricing of the original programme and as it has been clearly mentioned already prices are all over the show so i would say it is one of those items that can command a decent price but can also drop down as well-i know that makes little sense but that is how this item has "performed" price wise recently.

If anyone has also seen a copy or knows of the existance of another team sheet i would be interested to know.
