Athletic Bilbao vs Manchester City 1969/70

It is the only item from the away leg against city on eBay at the moment - what was exactly produced?

Hi, I don't know what was produced, maybe Philip Noble's Man City website can shed light on that.

However I do know that AS is a Madrid-based daily sports newspaper(unconnected to any club including Bilbao), and that not only that, this edition was obviously produced after the game....so not sure how accurately that would fit the bill for being a Bilbao item for the home leg?

In the 1970s Bilbao produced a monthly magazine that would preview forthcoming European ties that month eg against Aston Villa in 1977, but am not sure if they did so in the 69/70 season.

That is a Madrid sports newspaper (mainly football) from the time. Definitely not a programme.

Athletic did issue programmes regularly but I don't know what was done if anything for City.

The official Athletic Bilbao weekly club magazine (organo oficial informativo del Athletic Club de Bilbao) was first produced in December 1972 issued for the clubs 75th Anniversary 1898-1973 the very first issue was numbered ''zero''
There is a local Bilbao sports newspaper called La Gaceta Del Norte which previews all Bilbao's matches
The AS magazines for the 1983 Bilbao-Liverpool EC match usually sells for £100+ on ebay so the AS magazine although produced elsewhere in Spain will still have some value although they only reviewed the matches mostly. I couldn't tell you if there was a programme for Bibao-Man City i know they produced programmes late 60's onwards for most league matches

There was no programme issued for the Bilbao V Manchester City Game

see my website as it has all of the City Euro programmes ever issued on it except the 2 V Poznan this season as the website won't currently let me add anything else to it.
