Just seen this mentioned in Almondvale Programmes latest catalogue, being held at the Swallow Hotel.

Anyone got any further details?

Steven Jacobs, who has the programme stalls outside both Ibrox and Parkhead is organising it.

Confirmed in Programme Monthly;

Sunday 16th May 10.00-2.00pm, The Swallow Hotel, 517 Paisley Road West. Near Ibrox.

There's a possibility that Celtic may be facing Scotland that day at Parkhead in a Testimonial for John Kennedy who was forced to retired after an injury sustained in 2003 against Romania 15 mins into his Scotland debut which he never really recovered fully from.

So could turn out to be a decent day of Fair + Football

Does anyone know how succesful this fair was and whether it will be repeated? Unfornatunately I couldn't make this one (and the Scotland game mentioned didn't happen), and it's the only fair held all year in Scotland Sad

I made the effort to go to this fair and left feeling rather disappointed. I think there were 5 dealers, none of which had anything that I was after. I don't think the small room that they were crammed into helped either.

I look forward to a bigger/better fair in Scotland sometime soon. (i wont hold my breath though)

Years ago the biggest and the best programme fair in the UK was in Glasgow at the McLelland Galleries in Sauchiehall Street Glasgow, it was a wonderful event i was even behind a stall a couple of years. What happened to it, bring it back..........

I was at a fair maybe 6-7 or so years ago at Hampden Park, lots of dealers in attendance, lots of room and picked up a lot of decent stuff. Combined it with a museum visit and stadium tour.

A great day out, but I guess there's no dealers willing to organise such an event anymore Sad
