Sent an email to the mauritius fa on the 30th april 2009 - as time went on had nothing and thought o well, out of the blue had a reply yesterday...surely has to be the longest wait ever !!

What about Man City fans plea for their side to win something

On that, who is the most unsuccessful side in football at the minute, excluding County Cups, using a basis of only national competitions or League competitions who has the longest barron spell ?

I think that will be Rochdale A.F.C.
With a history spanning 103 years they have only won promotion twice in the football league and only once reached any final of note and that being the League Cup in 1962 which they lost convincingly to Norwich 4-0 over two games.

Taking into account the size of the club, attendances, Population etc etc

Sheffield United.....since 1925........errrr....one Division 4 Championship

1 FA Cup Final, 5 FA Cup Semi's & three Championship Play off finals and lost them all. Crying or Very sad

Birmingham City and Hull City haven't exactly set the world alight neither.

Bolton had a run of 21 matches over 87 years between wins at Ashton Gate.

The run ended in 94/95 when Bruce Rioch's side won there in what was a promotion winning season and Bristol City relegation season.The success that year was mainly based on a very strong home record.Only one home defeat was suffered all season, against our bogey team....Bristol City.
