Is there an Arsenal collector or perhaps a Barnet collector who could get me a programme/team sheet from the reserve fixture between Arsenal and Blackpool due to be played next Monday the 27th at Barnet's Underhill ground?

I can also provide team sheets (A4 black and white) from reserve fixtures played at Bloomfield Road this season if anyone sends me a PM before the fixture.

Yes I always write to, or ring, the club concerned although the success rate for reserve programmes/sheets is not too high.

There have been many times in the past I have sent SAEs without reply - Morecambe is a good example on 3 different occasions.

That's why Phil I thought I'd post a message on here just to cover myself.

After all isn't this one of the many uses of this forum or perhaps you think I shouldn't be asking on here. Surprised

No probs mate,it is just that writing to the Club in plenty of time has always worked for me in the past.

Hi wdy11

I'll sort that out for you.

Please send a PM nearer the time just to remind me. The fixture is down for 18th December at the moment.

Interesting that Bispham, for the past 12 years or so I've written to the relevant club when Burnley play away Reserve games and I haven't attended, and I must say for the most part I've never had any problems in receiving them. I always send 50 pence an a stamped, addressed envelope and there is quite a variation in the service received, from some clubs sending the progs and my money back, to occasionally having a 6 week wait before 1 folded sheet turns up.

Never had any problems with Morecambe I must say, in my experience the worst offenders have been Oldham, whilst some clubs like Preston & Hull are excellent.

An added problem I now find is that a lot of clubs don't play their Reserve games on their home ground - for example in the Premier Reserve League North, every single club played at a different ground eg Burnley at Accrington, Blackburn at Leigh, Hull at North Ferriby, Sunderland at Eppleton CW & Man Utd at Altrincham. If I'm not going, I now write to both the home club AND the host club - costs me a bit more but doubles the chances of getting something!
