I always thought pre war Ipswich were pretty rare, and now a big collection turns up on Ebay. Like the Plymouth collector a few weeks ago , i thing he would have been better off selling one or two a week, but what a collection. I got my eye on the Sunderland friendly. Now may be the time to pick up a bargain.
ps, just had a check and there are two sellers... amazing.

what a strange time to be listing such expensive items. With the summer holidays just kicked in the number of ebayers always drops a lot. The items have been listed at no doubt the value the seller wants so I guess 1 bidder is enough but surely the smarter thing would have been to wait until footie fever kicks in during September

It looks like these have been listed at a 'retail' value as opposed to a traditional low-starting auction. I agree it may may have been better to have listed a couple at atime, but I suppose any that don't sell will be relisted.

As a large Ipswich collector (and seller) I know the person selling some of the prewar items (Jimbojunior). He is asking retail money although to be fair these are his spares and he is not breaking his own collection.
I suspect that you're right in terms of one bid will probably secure most items.
I have the Sunderland programme for sale, so if you are interested , PM me.

He has a fantastic collection and recently was the purchaser of the only known Ipswich bound volume from 1924-5 season, He has since had it unbound can you believe

The first seller (allsuffolk07) listed his on what I think was a free listing day for private sellers so hes maybe just testing out the market and he's not going to lose out if they dont sell.

The second guy though listed them on a normal day so hes gonna get whacked for some some high listing fees, strange he didnt wait till the next day to get the free listing?
