The definition of Hero, when in reference to footballers is nothing short of embarrassing. People who show acts of courage and bravery, risk their lives for others, that's a hero.

As for the Bristol City 8, let me get this right, the club gets promoted to Division 1, and stay there for a few seasons. The players are on lucrative contracts, with many of them on '10 year contracts'.
After 3 consecutive relegations, down to Division 4, they are persuaded after pressure from the directors to tear up the contracts and receive half the money in order to save the club

The very same Players on big wages who took the club from Division 1 to 4, yeah I guess you're right.....heroes everyone of them
