Are there any general collectors who may have something re Newton Heath and Manchester United from the early times at all?, if not then anything generally of a pre-war nature?, autographs, postcards, menu's, tickets, programmes etc etc? and failing that period what about postwar to late 1950's, everything considered and good prices paid. To take a look at some of the types of items i am looking for to increase my collection which dates back to 1886 re Newton Heath & 1904 re MUFC, please pm me with details. www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterunitedman1/

That's going to be a tough one for you to find.
If you haven't got it, it probably doesn't exist!!!
From what I undestand you have one of, if not, the best collection of programmes AND related memorabilia in the UK.
A collection I aspire to, and give you full credit for not sitting back and admiring from a distance, but being proactive in acquiring even more.
Good luck with you continued hunt.

Neville Evans is reputed to be the biggest collector of football memorabilia in the world, he has items that cover every club not just one club. I am aware that the recent Opus book produced for Tottenham Hotspur was done so with as near as damn it 100% support from N.Evans collection of THFC as this is his club.

My United collection is now over 11,000 items since 1886 until the present day and I am always looking to add something, anything whether it be a couple of pounds or something more serious.

Kind Remarks indeed-many thanks.

Still plenty of items out there to find, cannot get them all, but as I have always maintained "If THERE IS ONE OUT THERE, THERE THERE WILL BE TWO!", it is the waiting and the patience that sometimes will pay off. I purchased 3 items this last week from the 1968 European Cup Final that I had not seen before and i thought i had seen it all, and the week before i had a contact get in touch to offer me some momentoes from MUFC relating to the 1958 FA Cup Semi with Fulham at Villa Park, menu's, photos, telegrams.

I do my best to put myself about continually and have built up many contacts over the years, I find ebay will on occassions bring stuff out of attics, some sellers get the shock of their lives and and some sell for peanuts as they aint got a clue, and sometimes collectors like us all get that benefit. Lastly and most importantly if you treat people right with a deal they will always come back to you if anything else shows up, screw them over and take liberties then do not complain if they stop calling you.
