I picked up this wooden plaque commemorating the 2000 Champions League Final the other day. The writing is in French and was manufactured after the final had taken place. Has anyone any ideas why this was produced in France? It doesn’t seem to be good enough( quality wise) to have been presented to someone . Perhaps there is a memorabilia market in France and this would have been sold in shops? It’s hard to spot another one on the web. Many thanks ..

It was played in France, surely that is enough excuse for them to sell stuff ?

Grantham, thanks , l was aware it was played in France, but it seems a bit odd to sell stuff in France (relating to two Spanish teams) after the final had been played .. Then again, l haven’t a clue if French football fans are into collecting memorabilia. Perhaps they are? Just wandering if anyone on the forum has seen one of these before? Perhaps they were sold in Spain but written in French?
