The Portsmouth Sports Mail have produced a edition which covers the upcoming season this weekend.
It is the last edition being produced by the 'Portsmouth News', having been the last 'Saturday Sports paper' in the country.
The special souvenir edition, as well as looking at the 22-23 season in detail also has previous covers from moments in Pompey's past history.
RIP The Football Mail.

There’s an article about it in yesterday’s Guardian newspaper Chris. Don’t know how to get it on screen. Brings back memories of the early 1960s when l was kid . Waiting in the ( quite a long ) queue at the local newsagents for it to be delivered out the back of a Liverpool Echo van. . Half the time l didn’t know the scores of the afternoon matches. The 1962-63 season, the thrill of looking at that front page and reading about Everton winning again on their way to the title. Can’t imagine that ever happening again in my lifetime. Laughing

You should be a Palace fan. I'm the same age as you (sort of) and we've never won anything. We might get a new stand before winning a proper trophy. I might still be alive............

I used to have quite a pile of those early 1960s Liverpool Football Echos , all dumped over the years. What makes them now quite collectible is not so much the football content, but the advertisements page inside . TONIGHT AT THE CAVERN CLUB THE BEATLES! etc . If anyone has kept any have a look..
