Tottenham Hotspur-Manchester United H/A from 1909 Onwards

As mentioned the other day, here is a selection of over 200 images covering all levels for Tottenham and Manchester United within my collection from 1909....

When Tottenham were elected to the Football League in 1908-09 and they went on to finish Runners up to Bolton on 52 points, Tottenham had 51 points in 2nd place, West Bromwich Albion also had 51 points, but the fascinting thing was that Tottenham gained promotion due to the narrowest of margins by a goal difference of less than two-hundreths of a goal. Equal on points with WBA Spurs had a goal difference of 2.09375 and WBA 2.074074. If Spurs had conceded just one more goal or West Brom had scored one more the positions would have reversed.

Manchester first played at Tottenham Hotspur in the First Division on the 11th September, 32,375 saw a 2-2 draw with a 3.30pm kick off. The original programme is included in this selection below and was only the 2nd Season of Tottenham Hotspur's programme numbered 3.
