Hi all
It seems like a lot of the older European Cup final programmes have sold well recently but this one is confusing me. Isn’t the 82 final valued somewhere between £20-25? This one is £90 plus postage and isn’t finished yet. Can someone tell me if I’m missing something? |

Everything is worth what someone is prepared to pay. |

I understand that adage about value based on what someone is willing to pay. I was more interested if there was something special about this one. Of the last 8 sold by auction on eBay none have gone for more than £33. Even a multi signed one went for £45. So why is this particular one nearly 5x the average? Just seems like such an outlier |

Oof. I have a copy, if I thought I'd get that price I'd let it go! |

The seller has 100% feedback and has been a member since 2003 so nothing amiss there.
If it is the seller (or their little friend) pushing the price up then at what point do they stop bidding so as to NOT be the highest bidder i.e. the inexperienced bidder wins?
It could just be TWO inexperienced bidders going head-to-head both with more money than sense. |

Hi
I doubt it’s the seller like you say they have good feedback and their other items are all low starting and have found their value. It’s likely some inexperienced buyers. As a seller they must be rubbing their eyes at that result!! |

The shill bidder /seller must be good at poker - knowing just how far he can push up the bidding without ending up as the highest bidder.
A risky strategy. |
